          " Of course a cultural immersion is not complete without a visit to the Tan Inong Asinan in my hometown!             Luckily nagluto sila nong Nestor so naka witness jud sila sa process (a rare opportunity) naka take ug                 video ug nakapahulagway! Nakapalit pod

         I practically grew up in the area. I spent a good part of my childhood in the area as my tatay and                   friends put up a bricks factory in the next lot. The asinan is my playground. I remember rowing                          nong mundo's boat without permission and nagtuyok2 ko kay di na kamao mubalik sa daplin... gi rescue             na hehehe.

       I remember the "pagba" nights. And I remember my first first job earning a few pesos as tigkiskis                        sa mga bricks hehe nga makalipay na (wa toy pabor2 or nepotism kay giihap jud to ug pila ka                         bricks) pero na lay-off kay duwa2 ray daghan ug gipalabon sa legal age workers looking for work hehe

        I also remember the "tagnop" and that we have to build a campfire to avoid their bites and stings. "
